We were able to restore the level 0 backup, and everything looks good,
but when the logs are restored, the server PANIC's again.
Is there anyway to NOT restore the last logical log?
BTW, could Service Pack 3 for Win2000 have caused this?

Is it on tape? You'd have to seek to its location on the tape and
truncate the tape file by writing an EOT marker. If in a file you can
use the truncate() or ftruncate() function in 'C'. I'd do either on a
copy of the archive NOT THE original.
