Cynic! My current agent, whose name I won't reveal because I actually admire his honesty, told me point-blank that they just fill the magazines with adverts to get CVs in, and that half the vacancies don't really exist! I think we could have guessed this anyway; I've had the occasional letter published in Freelance Informer and Computer Contractor, and there is such a delay - and the articles are often so dated - that, if we assume that the same copy dates apply to the advertising, by the time they appear the adverts are already weeks out of date. yours, united in cynicism Neil Paul watson wrote in message <7klah4$994$1@news.xmission.com>... > >It can't be that great, it been on the go now for over a month. =20 > >Paul Watson >WF Software Ltd >Tel +44 1436 674729 >Fax +44 1436 678729 >www.wfsoftware.co.uk > >>>> Element Limited <resume-cv@element-limited.com> 06/21/99 09:22am >>> > > >INFORMIX DEVELOPERS >CENTRAL LONDON CONTRACT / PERMANENT=20 > >This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading Insurance company as an = >=20 >INFORMIX developer.
