RE: problem with dbload!
Posted in 1999
The dbload that I use is ..
dbload -d databasename -c ldtable -l table.log -e 5 -n 10000
with the file ldtable being ...
FILE "/unload/oldgltran.unl" DELIMITER "|" 15; insert into gltranhist;
Errors are put into table.log, stop on 5 errors, commit every 10000.
ldtable contains the unload file, delimiter, number of columns, table to insert into.

Subject: problem with dbload!
I have tried to load a file with two columns of ascii chars to my
informix table. This table name is ttable and it is located at testbase
in my testserver. Testserver and client are at same machine.
Now. I have made following command line:
FILE e:\\informixds\\bin\\testchars1.txt
chars1(1-5,
chars2 6-10);
INSERT INTO testtaulu (c1, c2)
VALUES (chars1, chars2);
I have used following dbload command:
dbload -d testbase -c testcommandfile -l lf
Dbload says: no connect permission, ISAM ERROR: no record found.
My NT - registry have correct values:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE....SQLHOSTS\\testserver
default "testserver"
HOST "mypcname"
OPTIONS "x=testserver"
PROTOCOL "olsoctcp"
SERVICE "idunno"
at SETNET I have a following values:
ENVIRONMENT:
INFORMIXSERVER=testserver
INFORMIXSQLHOSTS=\\\\mypcname
SERVER INFORMATION
INFORMIX SERVER = testserver
Hostname = \\\\mypcname
protocolname = olsoctcp
Service name = idunno
options = x=testserver
PLEASE HELP!
