Okay, My observations. First, I think you need to give more background. Maybe you've done this in a previous post, but I don't see much detail. What version of UnixWare are you running? What kind of machine is this running on (CPUs, RAM, disk)? What exactly is happening when you "freeze"? What error messages are you getting in your online.log and at the console? What happens when you run onstat commands? What do the machine resources look like at the time of the freeze (CPU, memory and disk utilization)? Have you verified that you aren't running out of space? Long transaction? Also, you say you're running 7.31, yet you've included information on a 7.30 engine. You have DBSPACETEMP going to rootdbs. Why? Are you running multiple instances with the same server number? --Chuck
