Tranferring database from HP-UX to AIX using OnBar

Hello,
Can I transfer an Informix database (version 7.24) from a HP-UX
machine to an AIX machine, using On-Bar (or any method other than
dbexport/dbimport)? The local Informix support told me that this is not
feasible, due to AIX disk pages being 4k, while HP-UX pages are 2k. But
since the database is on raw-devices, does this make sense?
Is there any way to transfer the database, using any backup tool
(either Unix or Informix-based) between these two systems?
Thanks for the help,
Cesar

NO, it can't be done. Even ontape won't work neither. There's why
we didn't bought HP after we have a few IBM...

You could transfer the data from the HP server to the new AIX server
over the network using my dbcopy.ec or a dedicated, transaction
oriented, data copy application modeled after it. Dbcopy.ec is
blazingly fast and the HP and AIX machines should be able to handle
several copies per CPU VP so that you can copy several tables or
objects in parallel. If you have FDDI, or better multiple network
paths, you should be able to come close to tape speeds with the benefit
that you do not have to wait for a tapeset to complete before beginning
to see data on the target server.
