Number of the lock requests

Hi, We have some joined tables in a simple line structure. If I want to delete everything I have a message that no enough locks. My problem is that I have 25000 items in all tables and 40000 locks. Could anyone explain me the relationship between the lock request and the number of the records. Thank you, Andor Rozsnyai
You can lock table within transaction.
In dbaccess you can write:
begin work;
lock table tab1 in exclusive mode;
delete from tab1 where 1=1; commit work;
Or you can drop the table and recreate it again.
In SHELL:
echo "drop table tab1;" > recreate.sql
dbschema -d dbase1 -t tab1 -ss cre_tab1.sql
cat cre_tab1.sql >> recreate.sql
dbaccess dbase1 recreate.sql
