Item Subject: Store Procedure
Hi Yuitmin,
It's me Anisha -- from San Jose IT! Hope you're doing well. Anyway with
regard to your question -- Have you made sure that this procedure does
not already exist in the database? To check this run the following
command:
dbschema -d <database name> -f <stored procedure name>
e.g dbschema -d mydb -f aaa
If it does find a stored procedure, then you know why you're getting
the error(s). If you want to overwrite that old stored procedure with
the new one, make sure you have a DROP PROCEDURE statement before the
CREATE PROCEDURE statement.
DROP PROCEDURE aaa;
CREATE PROCEDURE aaa()
SET LOCK MODE TO WAIT; END PROCEDURE
Hope that helps!
Regards,
Anisha

P.S. Thanks for all your help when I was in Penang -- I really appreciate
it!

I am trying to create a Store Procedure in my database but I keep on getting
error messages -673 and 853. Even with a very simple store procedure as below,
I still get the error messages.
CREATE PROCEDURE aaa()
SET LOCK MODE TO WAIT;END PROCEDURE
Please Help

Yuitmin
