Hi there,
I have a Informix IDS 7.30 UC7.2 on SuSE Linux 6.1 (Kernel 2.2.5).
Our /etc/services file contains:
turbo 1536/tcp
Our /etc/hosts file contains:
192.168.1.99 EASYLNX
Our sqlhost file is:
ids_test onsoctcp EASYLNX turbo
The environmentvariable is set to
INFORMIXSERVER=ids_test
If I start the the IDS (with oninit -ivy as root) the following errors
occurs:
17:05:01 listener-thread: err = -25580: oserr = 0: errstr = : Systemerror occurred in network function.
17:05:02 listener-thread: err = -25573: oserr = 11: errstr = : Networkdriver cannot accept a connection on the port.
System error = 11.
The error -25573 is occur periodically while the IDS is running. There
is also no connect from local neither over network.
I've read (and trying out) some news-articles and documentationfiles,
but nothing helps :-(
Could anyone help my ??

What does 'uname -a' report? If it is a FQDN (fully qualified
domain name; that's why the abbreviation is used) such as
EASYLNX.easy-soft-dresden.de, then that's the name that must
appear in the sqlhosts file. Also, it is case sensitive, of course;
we're playing on Unix and not a toy o/s.
