Hi,
I'm try to install Informix IDS 7.3 in Linux Red Hat 6.2. The installation
was all OK. But, when I try initializing the database with oninit command,
I receive the message below:
Event alarms enabled. ALARMPROG = '/usr/informix/etc/log_full.sh'
oninit: Fatal error in initializing ASF with 'ASF_INIT_DATA' flags; asfcode
= '25507'.
Anybody can help with this message ?
Thank's

Just confirming... Installing the rpm under Red Hat does NOT complete your
installation. You still need to run ./installserver from the command prompt as
root with the correct environment variables set, etc, etc.

The nice thing about Windows is - It does not just crash, it displays a
dialog box and lets you press 'OK' first.

Linux...... The choice of a gnu generation. http://www.linux.org

Informix .. You can do it.
