Update stats 7.3
We're planning to upgrade to 7.30.uc7 within the next week or so (test system first). Are there any substantial differences to the UPDATE STATISTICS requirements between 7.23 and 7.30? TIA John Carlson Informix DBA WHSmith USA

For example, in 7.23 the minimum precision is 1/n, where n is the number of columns in the table. In 7.30 you can specify lower precision. It takes only UPDATE STATISTICS HIGH. The other thing is : in versions prior to 7.30 UPDATE STATISTICS sometimes gives you negative numbers in syscolumns, that causes optimizer works in mad pathes. This is multiplatform bug and it's fixed in 7.30. I don't know of any problems with update stats, but I was looking at the product defects the informix web site, and 7.30 looks quite buggy.
