Solaris 10 IDS 11.50.FC5 Is there a way to figure out the slowest, most costly, most time taking queries for a certain period of time during a day? For example Query 'X', "Select asdf from table asdf" was the mostly costly. Query 'Y', "Update asdfa...." was the second most costly. etc. Thank you. Larry
Yes. Turn on SQL TRACE and capture tge data from the associated sysmaster tables every few minutes. Load the data into a spreadsheet or another database server and sort by execution time.
