Reclaim space after records delete

Hi All, In informix 11.50 FC9, we have lot deletion on the table level. After delete the data from table, Do i need to do any mainteance job for reclaim space or automatically space will be released to free space. Hp-UX operating system and chunks are using. After deletes the freed row space is reusable within the table itself. It is not released to the free space pool for other tables to use. If you need that to happen then you have to run the API functions to REPACK the remaining rows in to a minimum of pages and to SHRINK the allocated space to only the occupied pages. That will return the unused space to the free space pool for use by other objects in that/those dbspace(s). Art Art S.
