Hi,
One of my users is frequently creating and dropping databases.
Sometimes when something doesn't work right, she appears to have a
session (thread) when we run "onstat -g ses". However, her client
process is gone. When she then tries to drop the DB, she gets a
message that she can't drop it (because "somebody" is using it; i.e.
her deceased process).
We know that we can have the sysadmin kill the session. However,
is there a way that the user herself, without root privileges, can do
so? Eventually it times out but we'd like to expedite it.
Thanks in advance.
David
