After this error-message the server is still online (if not - then only
informix-support can help). You will see with "onstat -d", that the new
chunk is marked as "D", that ist "down". You can try to bring the chunk
online with the command:
onspaces -s <spacename> -p <pathname for the chunk> -o <offset for the
chunk> -O
If it doesn't work, check the link (pathname), the device (must exist,
belong to user informix, group informix, have the 660 - security, have the
proper size). If it's ok, try to drop the chunk and to create it again.
If it doesn't work, or if you had already important data there - only
informix-support can help you, but I don't know, if 720 is still supported.
