It seems to me that sesoctcp protocol is not supported in SE on UnixWare. You can set the protocol to setlitcp on the server side and to sesoctcp in INFORMIX-CONNECT and all should work Ok. I don't remember how to setup the client side to found the databases (may be specifing the DBPATH??? or setting the path to database in connect string?).
