Replication

Hi! Has anyone tried to work with replication between IDS-Personal Edition and IDS on NT or UNIX (any knid of replication)? If yes, please let me know. First of all I would like to know if it's possible, what versions of IDS are more recomended, stuff like that. Thank you, Sebastian Paul A.

I don' believe the replication is supported on IDS-Personal Edition. The code my be there. Also replication is supported between IDS NT and IDS UNIX. Also Informix supports cross version replication, that is, replicating between say 7.23 and 7.30. In addition cross OS replication is supported (for example between HPUX and SOLARIS). I would personally try NT/UNIX replication and maybe cross OS replication. Cross version replication could get ugly. Bob Carts, SAIC
