Dear Friend, Can we expect IIUG Conference in INDIA in future?
No, As maximum Informix users are based out of US. There is too much logistics involved. Not feasible. However there are road shows that happen over the world including India, especially in cities like Mumbai, Bangalore & Hyderabad.Look out at IIUG website for the latest road shows. From: "MUKESH TANUKU" <mukeshbt1328@gmail.com>Sent: Fri, 16 Mar 2018 15:00:39To: ids@iiug.orgSubject: Can we expect IIUG Conference inINDIA? I believe it remains the case that the large bulk of end-user companies are still in the United States. This was certainly the case when I was on the IIUG Board of Directors 2002-2004, and used before and since to justify retaining the formal IIUG Conference in the US. There are other logistical positives for the US also: most IBM Worldwide execs, and the Informix Labs, are based there so it's easier for these experts to travel internally. Whether the HCI partnership will change this I don't know. Back in the day IBM in the UK used to be fairly positive in sponsoring a local user group, and Informix events organised by this. Perhaps this is a path you could follow with IBM in India? Again, I don't know if the HCI tie-up may affect its (IBM's) thinking.
