False Alarm?: Choice: Error 27001 or 23101

This is to settle the muddy waters I raked up yesterday. Yesterday, I wrote: --- SNIP --- > Now I try to run an application using fglgo yada.. Art suggested I create symbolic links from the files $INFORMIXDIR/msg/us_en/0333 to pretend they are in $INFORMIXDIR/msg, a step thet should not be necessary. The Informix tech guy had a brainstorm and asked me to detail my $PATH. As it happens, we are using a custom fglgo/fgldb with functions supplied by an Informix partner and *that* fglgo is the one that is barfing. When I explicitly run the Informix-supplied fglgo, there is no problem for a simple program. Of course this still means I can't run my apps; they require those functions in the custom runner. But this is not an Informix problem and, therefore, no reason to pursue it further in this newsgroup. Thanks for the help in getting out of that blind alley. -- -- Jake (Retrospectively realizes there is no future in hindsight) +------------------------------------------------------------+ | The expedient performance of a task with excessive concern | | regarding its duration-to-completion engenders a virtual | | certainty of diminished benefit therefrom. | | -- Benjamin Franklin (but he said it in 3 words) | +------------------------------------------------------------+
