HPL - unmapped blob

Hi,
IDS 11.10 FC3 on Solaris 10
I am trying to unload all the tables from a database using a shell script that
creates HPL jobs(onpladm) and then unload using onpload.
Except for 5 tables the scripts runs well and unload all the tables to tab.unl
files, The following Error is same for all the 5 tables with the corresponding
column name.
"Query contains unmapped simple large object or blob com - cannot proceed
Error occured at HPL failpoint: 16110"
The columns have eighter TEXT, BYTE or lvarchar datatypes which i understand
are not supported by HPL express mode.
So one way is to find such tables having Simple LOs, Ext Type data types,
ensuring constraints, or invoking triggers and run the unload with Deluxe mode.
I'm trying to find such tables with syscolumns - coltype but not sure what all
types should i consider which are unsupported by express mode.
The docs also mention about extended_id but not sure if i can use it?
Any help on this is appreciated!
one more question in the above error what does "unmapped" means?

Vikas
The coltype of those column types are:
SQLBYTES 11
SQLTEXT 12
SQLUDTVAR 40
Note that LVARCHAR columns are implemented as a Variable length User Defined
Type (VUDT) the type of a VUDT is 40. For an LVARCHAR column the
extended_id column in syscolumns will have the id of the LVARCHAR extended
type which is 1 (one). You can look up the extended_id in the sysxtdtypes
table.
You can find these defines in the ESQL/C header file:
$INFORMIXDIR/incl/esql/sqltypes.h along with a macro you can use to filter
out any of several attributes that are encoded in the coltype bits along
with the actual type (ex: NOT NULL).
#define SQLTYPE 0xFF
#define MASKNONULL(t) ((t) & (SQLTYPE))

Hi,
How can i create a map file for mapping of BYTE, TEXT and lvarchar datatypes
and use this map file with onpload in order to unload data from these columns
as well.
I see the documentation and it says
The map file is a text file. The format of the map file is:
[server.database.]type_name lib_name entry_point [c++if_major.c++if_minor]
Seriously, the documentation for HPL using onpladm and onpload options is not
that informative, The documentation shows every example with GUI :(
Thanks to Andrew Ford for his articles on HPL but then now those articles are
not available anymore, click on the link
(http://www.ibmdatabasemag.com/blog/main/archives/2008/05/the_informix_hi.html)i
t takes to the new magzine protal check for archives and I'm back on the same
page :((
Any information on how to mapp the datatypes BYTE/TEXT/lvarchar in order to
unload them to seperate files, would be help full
Thanks in advance

Vikas
