Re: IDS 11.5 onpload exited abnormally during initialization

Hello Bruce, Since no one has responded so far, here is my suggestion. Do not use hyperloader. I can usually get the job done the old fashion way before most people can get hyperloader to work. Plus, if you can think of a way to reduce I/O, your speed will approach that of hyperloader. For example, if you use one SQL to "select from source database while inserting into target database" then that is just one read and one write. With hyperloader (and any other load/unload program) you will have two reads and two rights (i.e. read from source database and then write to a flat file followed by a read from the flat file and a write to the target database). And, don't forget to do the usual things like dropping indexes on the target database before inserting, DIRTY READ on the source database and exclusively locking the tables. If that won't work then try other tricks like making the table RAW before you load it. Be creative and then tell us what worked! -L.S.
