Thank you for pointing that out. I have the utmost respect for Art, and no
doubt that is a superior solution. I will make a point of getting it.
I did mention to the contractor that I thought there was a third party
solution. He echoed my thoughts when he commented that it seems strange
that IBM would depend on a third party to fix a basic utility that should
just work.

dbexport/dbimport works fine for me.
perhaps you should log a bug and chase up enough to get it fixed.
