Re: Printing BLOB image via Crystal Reports or others?

4gl? No, the closest to that I got to was putting PCL or ESC/P blobs in reports, and of course, the jpg/bmp to pcl is the tough bit. :-) But since you are talking about Crystal Reports, the following might be a worthy alternative: Do you have a Apache (or other suitable HTTP server) handy? Pick your favourite tool cgi webkit and write a report with that. You could even use 4gl or New Era reports capabilities by firing a report to /dev/null and using the cgi webkit routines rather that PRINT or SKIP statements, etc. Next, access the report with your favourite browser, and there you have image display, report preview and printout, a la Crystal Reports :-) That'll be Lit.33, please :-) Ciao, Marco _______________________________________________________________________________ Marco Greco, Catania, Italy marcog@linux.ctonline.it rem radioterapia +39 95 447828 fax 446558 Informix faq http://www.iiug.org/techinfo/faq/informix.htm 4glworks http://www.ctonline.it/~marcog Informix on Linux http://www.ctonline.it/~marcog/ifmxlinux.htm Dennis Pimple wrote: > > I have a BLOB column in the database that is an image file (.jpg or > .bmp) that I maintain via NewEra interface.
