Chunks are changing ownership to root disk

We are on Informix 12.10FC10. We have a primary and HDR setup to a secondary. When we patched last night and rebooted the two servers, the secondary came back up with all the chunks changing to root disk. It happened to us a few weeks ago, also, when we wanted to make a few changes to the database and took the servers down for a snapshot. Error is The chunk rootdbs must have owner_ID "informix" and group-ID "informix". All the chunks had changed to root disk. Any ideas as to what could cause that to happen.
Benji, You did not mention the OS you are running under , but on AIX after applying a TL upgrade on the server the database is running on I noticed the ownership of the character (raw) devices will default back to root:system. I did not take the time to run down the reasons' why this occurs , I just simply change them back to informix:informix in a script. Mark
Hi Benji.
On Linux, if "udevd" is running, you need to enforce ownership with a file
such as this:
$ cat /etc/udev/rules.d/99-informix.rules
ENV{DM_VG_NAME}=="datavg", ENV{DM_LV_NAME}=="*dbs*", OWNER:="informix",
GROUP:="informix", MODE:="660"
Otherwise, create a script in /etc/init.d to correct with "chown" after reboot.
On AIX, set the owner and group in the ODM during creation (mklv) or correct
later (chlv) with options "-U informix -G informix".
