IDS v10FC8 HPUX 11.23 w2k3 Server Iconnect 3.00 FC2 Hello, I have a developer attempting to connect to an Informix database through OLEDB from SQL Sever 2005 SSIS. The following msg is being observed. The following is also being encountered when attempting to create a SQL Server Linked Server connection using OLEDB. This issue is seen with the 32 bit csdk 3.50 on a w2k3 32 bit box as well. Any help/assistance would be greatly appreciated. Error text from SSIS pkg: Test connection failed because of an error in intializing provider. No error message available, result code: DB_E_ERRORSOCCURRED(0x8004E21) Error text from Linked Server: An exception occured while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch (Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo) The OLE DB provider "ifxoledbc" for linked server "<svrname>" reported an error. The provider did not give any info about the error. Cannot initialize the data source object of OLEDB provider "ifxoledbc" for linked server "<svrname>". (Microsoft SQL Server, Error:7399) ======================== Darren Jacobs Sr Database Analyst Darren_Jacobs@carmax.com 804.747.0422 x3221 ========================
