Reverting from HDR failover to secondary

I did a simple test of HDR failover from primary server to the secondary
server. I shutdown the primary (onmode -yuk) and after 30 secs (setup in
connection manager config file) the old secondary became the new primary
server. What are the exact steps to restore to my original HDR cluster
configuration? I followed the steps in the Admin Guide "Failover of the
Primary Server to the HDR Secondary Server" but this did not work. ( IDS
11.50.FC5 on HP-UX 11.23 ia64).
What kind of errors you noticed while restoring to the original HDR
configuration ?
I think, you are referring to correct steps if you followed these --
