Hi,
What is the difference between a thread called soctcppoll and soctcplst ? I'm
confused with the output of onstat -g ath
Hi,
one is the listener thread, listening for new connection requests and
subsequently serving them (new session).
The other is the poll thread, checking if new data arrived on existing
connections and notifying
the appropriate session threads (normally called sqlexec threads).
Regards, Martin

IB the soctcplst threads are blocked on the connection port listening for
new connections while the soctcppoll threads are polling the existing
connections ports for new requests from client sessions.

OK, thanks very much One more question Once I set the number of soctcplst (NUMCPUVPS) and soctcppoll (NETTYPE) How I realize if the number of soctcppoll threads is too low or too high ? The same for soctcplst
