50 rows deletion from a table taking 8-10 minutes

HI, On my test box my table has only 50 rows in it. But when I run the statement delete from pick_op_pallet;it takes about 8-10 minutes. On the same database deletion of 50000 rows from other tables takes 20-30 seconds. This table does not have any child table. But it refers to some parent tables. On test box it has 50 rows, but in production it normally has about 1 million rows at any time. Therefore The Ist extent allocated on test box is about 50000 pages. Would one expect this delete to take this much time. I am running IDS 7.3.1 on this box with HP-UX 10.20. Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Khem Chander kchande@yahoo.com

Most important are : number of indexes in table, number of foreign keys in table, LRU's configuration, disk configuration, number of Informix buffers and so on.
