Hi. List. I feel Rookie about veritas. What is veritas? By example, If I have a 10GB disk. may I divide the disk in 2-GB partitions o filesystem? How? What size is physical page? Is database able to use raw devices? Is database able to use KAIO? I don't have the release note, yet. Thanks a lot. -- Francisco Huezo Administrador de Base de Datos Ministerio de Hacienda Proyecto SAFI Cond. Tres Torres, T-2, N-8 San Salvador, El Salvador Tel. UW-7.1.1 does not have 2GB slice/partition limitation. It is Informix's the chunk size limitation ( to be removed in IDS-9.3). > What size is physical page? 2K > Is database able to use raw devices? Vertitas is a disk manager e.g. is used for setting up slices & file systems. I don't know if it's available for Unixware - I've come across it in Solaris. But it might be available for your Unixware machine. > >By example, If I have a 10GB disk. may I divide the disk in 2-GB partitions o >filesystem? A subset of it, including RAID0, is bundled in the core OS). For full ODM, a license is needed.
