If i were you i'd bite the bullet and upgrade your OS to UW 7.1 + patches and upgrade IDS to 7.30UC10 or 7.31.UCx that has fixed defect #115327 (that thing about index pages in the cache i.s.o. data pages). Your best bet would be to get rid of UW altogether, you're better off with a spreadsheet on a calculator.
