Empty blob spaces being read

Hi again. We recently created 3 blob spaces on our live DB, in anticipation of a new application going live. These blob spaces are completely empty at the moment, but if I run tbstat -D, I've noticed that they keep being read e.g. in 1 minute the largest blob space had 1908 pages read and the 2 smaller ones both had 144 pages read. This seems a bit strange to me. Has anyone else come across this ? We're running V5.10 THanks Debbie
