Distributed Database?

Hi, here is the customer's scenario: SUN ULTRA SUN ULTRA ENTERPRISE 450 <--- FIREWALL ---> ENTERPRISE 450 with IUS 914uc3 with IUS 914uc3 and WebDataBlade and WebDataBlade We need to manipulate the databases on both servers and we heavily use BLOBs. Therefore we cannot use replication. The distributed Two Phase Commit is one option. But a friend told me, that this is not possible with the WebDataBlade. Is there any possibility to merge the two Databases at night? Probaly not, if I recall my Database Knowhow from University. So, what can we do? Any reference to a HOWTO or a third party product would be appreciated! Please give me a point to start with.
