Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Denise wanted a 16-bit ODBC driver to connect Access 97 to an Informix database she only knew as Informix RT 1.1 4GL-RT. A poster quoting Art Kagel said that version is about 15 years old and unsupported, with no connect package available, and advised unloading the data and schema and recreating them on a current SE or IDS. Denise thanked him. Unresolved beyond that.

Informix/4GL Vers 1.1 is about 15 years old! You will not be able to get a
compatible connect package for this for remote access I am afraid. The version has
been unsupported for many years. I would suggest unloading the data, exporting
the schema, purchasing one of the current version engines (Informix Standard
Engine (SE) will be most like what you have unless that is really Informix Turbo v1.1
which is the predecessor to Informix Online 4.00 and is ONLY about 10 years old
in which case Informix Dynamic Server (IDS) will be closest), and recreating your
database in the new server.

No dumping here... Take your trash somewhere else. If you have any doubts
about how trashy 16-bit ODBC is, I have a c program that proves it.
