Objects are both the data and the methods that act upon the data. So to give persistance to an object in a OODBMS, you have to be storing both the method and the data. So what Mike is saying, that if you subclass an object, but don't change the data structure but only add your methods, Jasmine will create a new *table* for your objects? At the same time, is it really necessary to store the method or just the class's data structure. Isn't that the fundemental difference of an OORDBMS and a O-RDBMS? -Mikey -- = #include <std_disclaimer.h> /* Mike Segel (MS385) */ #include <No_Spam.h> #ifdef OFFENDED_BY_CONTENT The author takes no responsibility for this post. = Any resembalence to a coherent rational thought is purely coincidence. -The Management. #endif ***************************** * Attention * -*- Due to AGIS's Refusal to Act Responsibly = -*- Due to ACSI's latest actions, they have been pardoned.
