It is just too ingrained in stupidity (witness that last sales pitch) to allow itself to be freed. > >Oxymoron. > Does this refer to the idea that certain salespeople are selected from a special group which, as infants, did not receive enough oxygen in the womb, causing them to become morons? When are these salespeople going to figure out that they're not attacking Informix Corp in this forum, but that they're irritating skilled database specialists who, when interested in the Oracle product, will take time to contact them directly? These guys ... *Sigh*. If they want to bug Informix they ought to run another of their slanted ads that compare throughput of Informix DOS products to the Oracle Unix or mainframe products. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Hey, I object to this!! These guys would *NEVER* make that sort of comparison. Informix on DOS would be just *TOO* fast to compare against Oracle on a mainframe. They would more likely choose a scenario involving 1000 Leprechauns (in a box) passing paper messages between each other, and Oracle on a mainframe! Be a close run thing though.
