I ve been trying to find free license/dwnld for Informix10. Any direction/information would be greatly appreciated
The IIUG and IBM free downloads of IDS 10.00 have been pulled. The current release for free trials and for the free Developer's Edition you can download from the IIUG Member's Pages are IDS 11.50xC3 which is the latest release. If you require a free trial copy of IDS 10.00 you will have to contact your IBM representative who MAY be able to arrange a product trial for you. I noticed that with the Developer edition of IDS 11.50.xxx only allows 2 DB Spaces with that license. I need about 7 separate DB Spaces to separate db=B9s for the 5 institutional databases that I manage. Any plans for IBM to allow more than 2 DB Spaces with the developer release? Thanks. --=20 Jonathan Smaby Pomona College From: Art Kagel <art.kagel@gmail.com> Reply-To: <ids@iiug.org> Date: Tue, 17 Feb 2009 19:14:35 -0500 (EST) To: <ids@iiug.org> Subject: Re: Licenses [14913] The IIUG and IBM free downloads of IDS 10.00 have been pulled. Simple answer? No. Perhaps the 5 institutions you manage data for can chip in to purchase one IDS license. Or if you are being paid to support them, then you can fold the license and support costs into a couple of years' fees.
