Hi, hope this is right place for that topic. Im getting "Maximum server connections 20" The problem is i got developer edition, im wonder howto upgrade my base to a little bit pro. I need ~40 connection, is neccesery to buy and spend money only for one test? Im witting a program to third party company and i need to make only one test. Maybe someone will inspire me how to make it without speding money or in last resort i must pay for it. And after i buy it i must install whole new base? or can i just "copy, paste new license key in to right place"?
Hello. You could even download a time limited Enterprise version, on IBM website. It´s fully functional, in all aspects of our product, for 30 days, I think. Since it´s just a test, not a production system, it will attend your needs, I think. Check it out. Regards. Ok, I think that is good solution, but, please tell me, is there a lot of problem to copy my base to a new enviroment?
Download the Innovator Edition, it is free for any use or purpose except redistribution. You can purchase optional support for it or you can sign on for a distribution license. There are memory and CPU core restrictions but no restrictions on the number of users. Art Art S. Informix Ultimate Edition trial is 90 days:
http://www-01.ibm.com/software/data/informix/downloads.html
it does not have any limitation.
I'm not sure if in-place upgrade works on developer edition - but you
can do full backup of developer edition and then try in-place upgrade
(in-place upgrade is upgrading with new version installation and then
running Informix from that installation with appropriate environment).
If in-place upgrade is not working, you can dbexport all databases
and dbimport them in Ultimate trial.
