I'm not trying to point fingers: I'm dyed-in-the-wool Informix. 5.01 is 5.00 plus *Triggers* plus some bugfixes. >} But...my client is still screaming that our product doesn't work. >} >No problems... bull s**t! I took the question to mean: are there incompatibilities between 4.1 tools and 5.0 engines? The answer to this is no. I don't think anybody would rationally claim that there is "nothing wrong with 5.0" as a general claim; I would submit that such a claim regarding ANY software is an automatic lie. Anyway... > According to programmers at Fourgen the 5.0 engines >have a problem with rowids in multi-table joins. This sounds like bug #13029, which is fixed in 5.01. >David Snyder @ Snide Computer Services - Folcroft, PA Current Release >UUCP: ..!uunet!das13!dave INTERNET: dave.snyder@snide.com -- Alan Denney aland@informix.com {pyramid|uunet}!infmx!aland Our children call him "Daddy"; they refer to me as "Sir" In all our family pictures he is standing next to her For Christmas he bought her a pair of handcuffs and a whip Sometimes I think it's put a strain on our relationship -- "He's Just a Friend", Austin Lounge Lizards
