Hi all,
I m new to informix, kindly correct me if am wrong.
our environment is linux and informix version is IBM Informix Dynamic Server
Version 11.50.UC6WE
Recently we had a table corruption in our database, so we ran
"oncheck -cDI -y datbase:schema.tablename" for that particular table, i got
resolved.
After that we try to check any other corruption on the entire database we ran
"oncheck -cDI database". in the output log we find some warning like this on a
table
WARNING: partition BLOB page 0x343 in tablespace 0xd00102 appears to be
more or less full than is indicated in the bitmap.
Bitmap mode: 0xe, Calculated mode: 0.
WARNING: The bitmap mode for page 0x343 has been reset from 0xe to 0.
Cleaning up orphaned blob piece partnum 0xd00102 rowid 0x33b02
ERROR: PNBLOB piece 0x34301 referenced by datarow but not found in page
can anybody tell me what is this exactly refer to and we don't have any blob
dbspace created in out database. Do we have any solutions to fix this.
Thanks in advance.
Hello.
I think this technote might give you some help about explanations:
https://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21675845
Even it mentions 11.70 and 12.10, the same message is returned from oncheck,
so you can use the same explanations.
I just want you to be aware that 11.50 is a pretty old engine, out of support,
so if you want to be in safe hands, with a more secure, stable and trustable
engine, you should consider an upgrade as quick as possible to a supported
version.
If you need some help, we are always glad to help. IIUG is a great source of
knowledge, updates and tools. Anual IIUG conferences are excellent for meeting
Informix users, which are passionate fans of this product stack. There you can
also meet and discuss technical doubts/issues with product architects, having
great feedback from manufacturer.
