locks specifies the initial size of the lock table.the lock table holds an entry for each lock that a session uses. if the number of locks that sessions allocate exceeds the values of LOCKS,the database server increases the size of the lock table. for finding the bug of the applications,we want to limit the locks'dynamic increase. can control the locks'dynamic increase by the informix inner parameters or other way? please! thanks!
Actually, Sun, the automatically expanding locks table was not implemented until IDS v 7.30 (or maybe even later, I don't remember). The version the OP has is 7.13 which had a fixed lock table.
