I-Star 5.02 Problem

I have a strange problem that has started to show up after I upgraded
my OnLine engines, and I-Star to 5.02. The error message that I get
says that I do not have insert permission for tablex.
The problem is that I _do_ have permission. The permissions for that table
have been the same for months. This same program has run without problem
against this table for months, and I can run the same program after it aborts
because of this error, and it will run correctly the second time.
The insert statment is pretty simple.
insert into tablex values (val, val1, )
Where val, val1 are ESQL/C host vars
The only thing about this program that sets it apart from other programs
that we run is that it reads from one database, and inserts into another
database on a different host.
I have another program that gets a similar error on a simple select statment.
The error claims that I do not have select permission. The select is for
an external database on another host. This program is in 4gl, while the
insert program is ESQL/C.
We have several programs that use I-Star to communicate between DBservers,
and all but these two seem to be working fine.
Here are the software versions I have installed:
OnLine/I-Star 5.02.UC2
ESQL/C 4.10.UC1
4GL (Compiled) 4.10.UD2
Tech support claims that no one else has reported this bug. (I seem to
have a knack for finding those kind of things.) I just wondered if someone
else has seen it, and if so, do you have a work around?
Thanks.
