NewEra - Seems quite powerful, has native links to Informix, Object Oriented, needs 16M and Visual C++ to run, costs a fair bit to buy. Portable to several platforms. VB - Yuck. Good for small applications only. MSAccess - Could be quite good, I have never tried it in anything but native mode. I suspect that, again, it is only good for small applications. It requires 8M at the Windows end, and would only talk to Informix via ODBC. Cheap to distribute. Rapid development for simple forms and reports. Difficult after that. Delphi - I would imagine this was comparable to NewEra, provided you got the Client/Server version. Object-oriented, and very efficient.
