help! - unknown ontape error with Online 7.31

Hi, I would appreciate it if someone could shed some light for me........ I am running IDS 7.31 on a HP-UX Box (Running HP-UX 10.20).......I have just tried to do a level 0 archive using 'ontape' and I got the following error: 'Server is in an incompatible state or user authentication failed.' I am executing this as user 'informix'. I have tried do the ontape in both online and quiescent modes and I get the same error. Any ideas?
