ontape/on-bar compatibility between PA-RISC & IA64

We are currently running IDS 11.50.fc5 on HP-UX 11i v3, running on PA-RISC
(PA8900 chips). We are considering purchasing an Integrity (IA64 chip) server
for additional capacity, as HP is no longer producing new PA-RISC servers. The
other option is to purchase used PA-RISC servers, but the current End-of-Life
for support of those servers is 12/31/2013.
In the Machine-Specific notes for IDS on 64-bit HP-UX, it states that High
Availability Data Replication (HDR) between PA-RISC and IA64 machines IS
SUPPORTED, so long as both servers have the same release of IDS, and any UDRs
are compiled for each server (we don't have any UDRs except for SPL).
My understanding of HDR is that the secondary server is kept in sync with the
primary because the primary sends its logical logs to the secondary, and the
secondary runs in fast recovery mode until such time as the primary fails, at
which time the secondary finishes the fast recovery and switches to online
mode. That implies that the disk page size and layout are compatibile between
the two systems, and that there is no big-Endian/little-Endian issue.
Given that, I want to see if anyone has any experience with ontape/on-bar
archive compatibility between PA-RISC and IA64. Ideally, you can point me to
some documentation that state that this is supported, but if not, I would
still like to hear from anyone who has experience working with these two
architectures (I HOPE I'm not the first to have to address this!) to see if
there is anything else that will cause potential problems with this scenario.
Can ontape/on-bar archives from a PA-RISC instance be restored to an IA64
server? Can it work the other way, as well? Any issues with any other
utilities?

I have mixed configration PA-RISC and IA server works
with HA MC/SG Metrocluster configuration and Informix
IDS 11.50FC7, Oracle 10.x 64bit internal binary data is
fully compactibile between PA-RISC and IA.

Hi Brad,
Yes it is supported, see the below link to IBM describing it.
I had a client about 4 years ago that was running their primary Informix
instance on Itanium and HDR instance on PA-RISC using ontape to restore the
HDR.
