^J - 0x0a - LF
^M - 0x0d - CR
0x0d 0x0a is more usual than 0x0a 0x0d.
Are you generating this in UNIX or (son of) DOS?
How are you transporting the file?
UNIX will automatically generate the ^J, and FTP will correct for ASCII
transfers to DOS - but not necessarily in the order you suggest.
Other environments *may* require a CHAR(1) or CHAR(2) as the last element of
your record.
If you have to force the order of your record trailers then use
LET Line_sep = ASCII( 10 ), ASCII( 13 )
PRINT Line_sep;
Otherwise carry on as OC suggests.

Of course, just set top and bottom margins to 0 and your page length to 1.
Sounds almost like you could do that with dbaccess...
