How about BSOD at the worst possible moment, on a daily basis? Note: I like Unix, I use it every day. I hate NT, I use it every day. My Linux box gets rebooted annually by my cleaning lady using the plug for the Hoover. My NT box needs a reboot to confirm a change in mouse position. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. A daily basis? I would check for hardware problems (seriously). > Note: > I like Unix, I use it every day. > I hate NT, I use it every day. > My Linux box gets rebooted annually by my cleaning lady using the plug for > the Hoover. My NT box needs a reboot to confirm a change in mouse position. The last time my NT machine rebooted was when the power went out. Before that is when I installed a new service pack. I run 2 installations of Informix 7.31 and 9.20, 3 different client sdk's, 4 different webservers (IIS, apache, JWS, xitami), mysql, redbrick and cloudscape. The machine has never crashed. If your machine needs restarted and crashes all the time, you either have a hardware problem (incorrect driver?) or a corrupt OS binary somewhere. Is anything in the logs after a crash?
