Move around the exhibit hall, hang out at the IIUG booth, but definitely go to plenary sessions to hear 'bout the latest and greatest. (Well, it's interesting sometimes. Today we heard at a plenary cum round-table discussion that old metaphor about sex and the Internet, i.e. "like teenagers, still poking around in the dark without a clear idea about what we're doing".) I've had a great time rappin' with people from other countries (not excluding California) and most of all your compatriots from the UK - Malcolm Weallans (sp?) for one. It's good to talk to people who don't take themselves too seriously. The Informix people have been great, and God bless 'em can throw a helluva good party. And of course, that's where the real business gets done. As you know they're (I mean In formix) talking about a conference outside North America one of these days, but that doesn't help you guys in the Southern hemi. Anyway, you should plan on bringing better half and kidlet next time. Yours, Nick
