Re: Silly Q. How to add user to database?

Dan To add a user to the database, make sure he has a valid Unix login. If you have granted CONNECT to PUBLIC (the default), then the user already has all the rights that you mention. If you are revoking from PUBLIC and granting only to specific users you would need to GRANT CONNECT TO youruser, where youruser is the unix login for the user. To see a list of users in the database at the database level, look at the system catalog table sysusers. If you have table level or column level rights defined, you can find them in the system catalog tables systabauth and syscolauth respectively. How to add user to database? This so silly I'm ashamed to ask it but I've been searching for a week for the answer. I just want to a user to a database and grant select, insert, update, delete and connect rights for this user. I've been searching the admin guide (and my fresh DBA Survival Guide) with no luck! Also, I would love to know where a log is kept for currently logged-in users and "login" accesses to the database. Silly, huh?
