You're right or course, dbexport / dbimport would have been easy too (see,
I'm still having problems with the BRAIN=1 parameter). The only real work I
had to do was designing the new layouts (disks & dbspaces) and editing the
scripts for the new dbspaces.
We redesigned, moving from -
"old machine" to HP L2000 (forgive the ignorance, but I don't know the old
machine was, a K-something .....) - Informix mirroring to hardware mirroring
(raid01), etc.
HP-UX 10.xx to HP-UX 11.00
Online5 to IDS2000 9.21FC1

My dbexport/dbimport replacement utility myexport/myimport can do the
dbspace mapping for you. Available from the IIUG Software Repository.
