Re: Onstat -R

Hi Roger,
The onstat -R commadn give you the listing of the LRU queue's and there
status. Eachr LRU queue consists out of two parts. A free and a modified
list. The letters f and m indicate wheter it is a f(ree) or m(odified)
queue. The LRU length is the numer of pages that are modified or free (m or
f) the last column gives the total number of pages in the free and
modified queue together. The % column gives a percentage of the total that
is free or modified.
You can read/implement the output as follows.
You have 8 LRU queue's defined in your onconfig file, Total number of
buffers are 1000 so number of buffers per LRU queue is about 125 (between
124 and 126). At this moment 20-25% of your LRU queue are dirty, and
cleaning starts at 60 % and stops at 50%.
I hope this explains enough.
