INFORMIX-OnLine Must ABORT - Critical media

Hi, we got a strange problem with an 9.21.UC2. The wasnt shut down proberly, and now, we cant start the engine again. I dont care about a consistent DBMS, just need the Server online.

It looks like there is a partial log record that was written at the end of the logical logs when the machine crashed and the contents are not sufficient for the engine to properly recover during fast recovery. If and ONLY if you have IBM support (yes 9.21 has been out-of-support for several years) IBM can connect to your system and truncate the last logical log file and permit the server to start up. You can try calling them and see if they will help, but the chances are low. Art Art S.
